JC Chasez : Ex-*NSYNC member playing Pontius Pilate. I always felt got the short end of the stick because he was way hotter than people gave him credit for. I'm still like 90% sure he's had his fair share of dickings.
Michelle Williams: Ex-Destiny's Child member who is super into Jesus but is playing Mary Magdalene. Edgy.
Brandon Boyd: Incubus front man who looks like a gay hipster from Williamsburg playing Judas. How he isn't Jesus is beyond me. Jesus was a total gay hipster, everyone knows it.
John Lydon: a.k.a. Johnny Rotten will be playing King Herod. That works for me.
Then we have a Jesus Christ Superstar reality TV competition winner (yes, that actually exists in the UK), Ben Forster. He played Jesus in the UK and Australian tour and will be reprising his role for the North American leg. I think American reality TV can be laughable at times, but this takes the cake for me. Here's his winning moment. When the other contest screams "You're Jesus!" I lost it.
So that's what we have to look forward to in the upcoming months. The tour kicks off June 9th in New Orleans and tickets go on sale April 11th. I will be vigorously searching YouTube for clips of it.
